Ye’misir Kike Wot (Split Lentil Sauce ) Split lentils simmered in a spicy ber- bere sauce. Red split lentil in berbere sauce makes use of that amazing Berbere spice blend, and is both satisfyingly warming, and amazingly tasty!
The small lentils (variously called red lentils, pink lentils, Egyptian lentils, and, in South Asia, masoor dal) used for this dish turn yellow when cooked.
